Don spent his early years growing up on a farm in northwest Ohio. In the early spring, he could be found in a woods somewhere looking for morels with either his dad, or his aunt Mildred. With this early fascination and love of morels, it was only a matter of time before he would combine his other love of painting with the hunting of mushrooms. Don feels that one of the joys of hunting morels is the many pleasant memories associated with such excursions. He tries to capture and portray these memories in his artwork.

As far as Don's love for the Buckeyes....nuff said .....Go Bucks!
